Those who have completely sold themselves out to "this dying world" and have refused "to love the Truth that would save them", will be swamped by "the full force of evil's delusion" and too late discover they have "put their faith in an utter fraud".  (2 Th 2.10-11)

Nevertheless, God's prophets  -  such as Dietrich Bonhoeffer  -  have bequeathed to the Church the divine pattern for life on earth in the season of ultimate trial and tribulation.  And it is in the plainest possible terms, "life together"...("a well ordered and well regulated common life" hinging and pivoting upon prayer); exactly what was embraced by the Body of Christ in its historical infancy:

"All who believed were together and had all things in common;  and they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them all, as any had need.  And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they partook of food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with all the people."  (Ac 2.44-47)

If we are going to flourish at The End, then we must return to and reconnect with our Biblical and historical roots, right now.

"But I call upon God; and the Lord will save me.  Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan and he will hear my voice."  (Ps 55.16-17)

"Seven times a day I praise thee for thy righteous ordinances."  (Ps 119.164)

"Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were digged."  (Isa 51.1)

"I, Jesus...am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star."  (Rev 22.16)

"You, a wild olive shoot...share the rich root of the olive tree."  (Ro 11.17)
